How do you feel about the traffic measures in Ufton Road, as described above?

Negative

Public transport capacity post-lockdown remains much lower than before the pandemic and 70% of households in Hackney do not own a car. To what extent do you agree or disagree with our aspiration to rebuild a greener Hackney by encouraging more walking and cycling, and preventing car-use returning to pre-lockdown levels or above?

Having written to my local councillor several times regarding the closures, I am still awaiting a reply (it has been months now...so unlikely to get one!). I have now completely lost faith in Hackney Council. They do not care about any personal issues and the stress these closures have caused so many residents (for many different reasons). They seem to be adamant to push their agenda no matter what their residents feel. Even if 70% of your residents feel an improvement- it should still matter is 30% genuinely are suffering whether that be someone living on a road that all that additional traffic has been pushed onto or someone that suffers spinal cord compression and finds car journeys agony and needs to get to the hospital and now has to suffer going the long route because they have no blue badge or residential exemptions! The council have no regard for these people as long as the rich in their nice houses can feel like they are lucky to live in their quiet leafy street. Gentrification at its finest 😔

Don't know

If you have selected you want to see the measures made permanent, please let us know if there are any changes you would like to see (Please specify the road where appropriate)

LTNs seem to benefit some and make life worse for others. A properly consulted holistic scheme for the whole of Hackney should be thought out considering all streets and all impacts for all citizens.
